Paula Scicluna, M.A., MT-BC, NMT-F, Founder/Executive Director
Paula is a board-certified neurologic music therapist with 27 years of clinical experience working with children and adults challenged with developmental, neurological and mental health disorders. Paula is one of only two music therapists in North Carolina to have completed the advanced fellowship level training with the Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy at the Center for Biomedical Research in Music at Colorado State University. As a classically-trained pianist, Paula has a passion for the therapeutic benefits of adapted piano training. She is an internationally published author on music and sensory integration in neurorehabilitation and an experienced presenter for conferences and workshops.
Sandy Levy, M.S.Ed, S.A.S., Director of "Broadway Unlimited"
Sandy comes to Rhythm & Rehab with 26 years of experience working with children having special needs. As a special education teacher for seven years, Sandy emphasized musical performance in her classroom. Upon receiving her master's degree in administration, Sandy served for 19 years as the program director of a special needs preschool having an emphasis on integrated programs, applied behavioral analysis and normalizing activities. As a classically-trained pianist, Sandy holds a special interest, experience and creativity in adapting musical theatre for children and young adults with special needs
Doreen Ross, B.C.A.
Having a degree in Creative Arts, Doreen has been a part of Rhythm & Rehab since 2007 conducting creative art sessions. Doreen taught elementary education for 12 years and served as the President of the North Carolina Art Educator's Association. She’s been focusing her art and teaching talents with children, teens and adults having disabilities for the past seven years.
Doreen's amazing work can be contributed to her talent as both a gifted artist and educator as well as to her experience as the proud mom of an incredible young man with autism.
